law (and in many other countries) requires all children to have child seats until
they are either 12 years old or 1.35cm tall. You can normally arrange to hire
these seats when you make your car hire booking. Don't rely on them being available
if you just turn up at the car hire collection office in busy periods.
•In the interest of safety a dog should be properly restrained
in a dog harness attached to a seat belt when travelling, or secured in the back
of an estate car or suitable cage compartment. Dog harness restraints can be purchased
from many car accessory shops to fit most breeds. 
Smoking - You will find most car hire companies no longer permit smoking in a
rental car.
